Technology changes the way we think, and by this how we speak. What does that mean for language, for learning, for us?

Most Sundays, I write about what language and machines do to each other and in the long run to our way of living. I have a background in linguistics and psychology, which means I've spent years thinking about how language shapes thought and emotion. Now I'm watching machines learn the same.

How AI is changing not just what we do, but how we reason, speak, and make sense of the world.

What does it mean to learn when machines can already do what we just practiced? And what is left that only we can do?

Technology doesn't only change work. It changes attention, conversation, and the pace at which we think. What do we want to carry forward?
